BUILD YOURSELF BUT DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START?

If you feel comfortable building your new deck or any outdoor structure by yourself, but don’t know where to begin or are struggling to create construction plans to meet your local county codes. We can help with that!

You, as the homeowner, will be the builder. As such, you will need to pull the permit as required by your county. Most counties do follow the IRC code (International Residential Code) that is updated every 3 years. The IRC establishes the minimum requirements that must be met.

However, each county can tailor or override certain codes to meet their individual county needs. This is why there are different requirements in each county. The permit process requires an updated site plan showing the proposed project with structure dimensions, including the distances to the property lines.

Fine Decks Inc. can help you understand the codes and requirements for your county and your specific project. And, we can provide the necessary plans and forms.
